Q&A: The Future of Airport Design with Curtis Fentress, Airport Technology

As he prepares to launch a new edition [of the Fentress Global Challenge] after a particularly tough year for global airports, Fentress Architects principal-in-charge and Global Challenge founder Curtis Fentress talks about the winners and the themes that could dominate airport design in the future.

The Fentress Global Challenge (FGC) is an annual international student design competition challenging participants to envision the airport of the future and advance innovative design in public architecture. With the 2021 competition quickly approaching, FGC Founder Curtis Fentress, FAIA, RIBA, recently spoke with Airport Technology’s Senior Writer Adele Berti about the 2020 winning projects and how they incorporated new technologies, climate change, and other key trends.
