Patrick McCue

Patrick brings extensive aviation experience to Fentress Architects, having spent nearly two decades in leadership roles at major airports, including Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). His introduction to the firm began while working for SJC during the $1.3 billion Terminal Area Improvement Program (TAIP), where he partnered with Fentress to shape a new airport that would redefine the travel experience in Silicon Valley.

Patrick’s personal philosophy closely aligns with the Touchstone™ “Design for People” as it asserts the influence that architecture can have on individual moments and collective experiences. This philosophy has been instrumental in the success of landmark projects such as the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, which set the standard for future terminal designs in the U.S. For Patrick, this philosophy also holds a personal component, as he met his wife at the grand opening for Terminal B at SJC – part of the TAIP project.

Patrick is active in the aviation industry and is a regular participant in ACI and AAAE. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor adventures and immersing himself in local cultures. His passion for connecting human experiences to the business world has also inspired him to serve as a mentor to middle school students, teaching them about business development and entrepreneurship.
