Fentress Architects was selected to transform an existing complex with the addition of a 60-story tower.
Arraya Office Tower features 60-stories of class-A office space. Upon completion, it was the tallest building in Kuwait. In fact, the Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat declared it the 4th tallest building completed in 2009.
Arraya Tower served as a visionary seed project for the overall development of a new downtown business district within Kuwait City. Ultimately, Arraya was successful, serving as the impetus for revitalization of an entire Kuwaiti neighborhood.
While diagonal steel elements wrap this full-height glass tower, an angled telecommunications mast sits atop it. The result is a dynamic façade. Meanwhile, an integrated limestone-clad mass unites the tower with adjacent building within the existing mixed-use complex.
