Office of the Chief of Army Reserve is a three-story, contemporary office building that respects Ft. Belvoir's historic design guidelines.
Office of the Chief of Army Reserve serves as the primary office of the Chief of Army Reserve and their administrative staff for Army Reserve personnel, operations and funding.
This three-story office building offers a contemporary approach to Ft. Belvoir’s historic design guidelines. It also respects the design requirements of the National Capital Planning Commission and the height restrictions of the adjacent Friends Meeting House.
The main façade, which is part of an historic view corridor, presents a formal command appearance along Goethals Road. This ceremonial entrance is celebrated with a glazed curtainwall and metal panel canopy. An intuitive and efficient secondary staff entry is located along the south elevation.
