Clayton, Missouri916,000 SFCompletion 2016
Fentress’ design transforms the outdated St. Louis County Courts, originally built in the early 1970s, into more modern, state-of-the-art facilities.
The six-story expansion and renovation project consolidated the Family Court – including juvenile detention – with the Circuit Court into more modern, state-of-the-art facilities at the St. Louis County Court Complex. The new building is a modern, highly functional, and sustainable unified Courts Complex. The facility includes 43 courtrooms, general office space, customer service areas, 63,000-square-foot juvenile detention, 64 detention sleeping cells, educational space, conference/meeting rooms, public spaces, storage, and operational support areas.
The new Courts Complex unifies the site into a cohesive whole and provide an accessible and welcoming experience for St. Louis citizens.
