The new North Las Vegas City Hall consolidates the city’s departments into a one-stop-shop for city staff and residents.
North Las Vegas’ new City Hall was part of a successful downtown revitalization effort. It also consolidated the city’s departments into a one-stop-shop offering convenience, efficiency and navigation ease for city staff and residents.
Fentress designers derived inspiration from traditional civic architecture. The result is a building with classic rhythms, tri-partite massing, and a ‘civic’ material palette. Meanwhile, the color palette was inspired by the local and native desert environment.
A shaded entry arcade coupled with cornice line sun shading protects the building interior from the desert sun and helps reduce heat gain. Outside, the civic plaza serves as a gathering place and is designed to accommodate stage performances and music festivals.
This project received LEED Gold certification.
