The design affords convention and meeting goers an accessible, flexible, attractive, modern experience.
Designed by Fentress Architects, Phase I includes an over 90,000-square-foot expansion to the Center’s primary exhibit hall, which will enable St. Louis to once again be highly competitive with markets like Nashville and Charlotte. In addition to a significantly expanded, contiguous exhibit hall, Phase I also includes the addition and refurbishment of loading docks along Cole Street.
Phase II, also designed by Fentress Architects, will include:
- a new 65,000-square-foot, highly-flexible, ground floor ballroom with adjacent lobby and support spaces
- an adjacent lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows,
- an outdoor venue,
- restyling of the Washington Avenue entrance, and
- relocation of kitchen facilities to be nearer the exhibit halls and out of the basement.
