Broward County Convention Center is only a short drive from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and beautiful beaches. Sited on a famous intercostal waterway, the expanded Center is the centerpiece of an over $1.3 billion resilient Convention Center district enhancement project, which will offer meeting and convention goers as well as area residents and tourists flexible indoor and outdoor contemporary event space in the form of an iconic waterfront plaza.
The revitalized Center will include:
- expanded, contiguous exhibition space,
- a new waterfront ballroom,
- the latest in new technology,
- new dining concepts, and
- enhanced water taxi access from the plaza.
Inspiration for the architectural and interior design come from the rich natural environment of Fort Lauderdale; the beaches, water, plant materials, and lifestyle make this place particularly unique and beautiful.
